Hi! Iām Randy Cawlfield, the Spiritual Director, Mentor, Teacher and Pastoral Counselor for Kingfisher Center. As a native of Brownsville, TX, I grew up fishing and duck hunting the Lower Laguna Madre. At 18 I left South Texas to pursue college and seminary degrees and served as a pastor in several churches in Texas and New Mexico all the while chasing trout with a fly rod all over the west. After years of feeling the urge to move home to the Valley, along with Lydia, my high school sweetheart and wife of 34 years, we returned home with our five children. In 2007 we took over ownership of Kingfisher Inn and Guide Services in Arroyo City. After decades of pastoring churches I dreamed of Kingfisher Center for Spiritual Formation. It has been my joy seeing this dream come to reality these days! I have matriculated at several fine colleges and seminaries including Hardin-Simmmons University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Western Seminary and Gordon Conwell Seminary. I hold degrees in music and theology and am completing my Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation at Gordon Conwell Seminary in Hamilton, MA.
